Mother Knows

Hello friends!
Today we are sharing this fun old advertisement
from a child's magazine that we found over the weekend.
This ad is from 1927!
Isn't it precious?

Feel free to use this image for your crafting.

Have a lovely day, Lindsey and Twyla

I Love Shredded wheat, and my Mom used to serve it hot in the winter. She would run it under some water, shake it gently to get most of the water out and fry it in a pan with some butter until it was a bit brown, and then put it in cold milk with sugar....Yum!
I see the steam rising offo fthis old ad....must have been from my grandmother that my Mom learned to make it that way. :) Sandy

Very cute, indeed! I never liked shredded wheat - couldn't appreciate it til I grew up. Then, when I couldn't eat gluten anymore - well - remembering it fondly - and more-so with vintage images from days gone by!
Joy!

Hi Guys!
don't you just love vintage commercial art found in old mags and books....even the old coloring books with outline drawings look different. I've really been adding to my vintage magazine collection latley and have seen a definate change from about 1959-1974. It's gradual...maybe the paper used inks....it is just more harsh.
